Comments: Today is a good day. At the same time itís a sad day but with the words to War shared on Edwinís website, itís important to remember 40 years ago today, War was #1 on Billboard.
He was happy and proud. Since then it has been covered by many Ė but none so great as Edwin. A special person with a special perspective on the world, the people around him and where he fit in the universe.

Comments: I would just like to say what a genuine guy Edwin Starr was, when he lived at pooley hall he would make visits to the local school where my daughters attended and even once when he couldn't make a charity gig at the local working mens club he surprised them by managing to get the Four Tops to do the gig, he his sorely missed .

Comments: I grew up in the sixties and knew Edwin(Charles Hatcher) before he became EDWIN STARR. I attended the same Junior High (KENNARD), in Cleveland,Ohio. We were so proud and still are, of his many accomplishments in the Music business and how humble he stayed.I will always remember.

Comments: Edwin the Starr, went to Preston's Got Soul last weekend and got my fix on TIME. Keep playing a couple of live CDs in the car up loud, how it should be played! Really, really miss you, miss that big smile, miss running all over the country to see the BEST EVER performer! My son Tim gets married 7th April you are featured heavily and always will do whilst I live and breathe. Well missed but the Legend, Agent 00 Soul goes on.
