Starrchild
A former backing band of Edwin's, Los Angeles-based Starrchild backed Edwin from late 1976 through to 1982 and were appropriately named after him. During this period Edwin had his biggest revitalising hits Contact('78) and H.A.P.P.Y Radio('79).

Kevin Peachy - Trumpet
Rick McAfee - Keyboards
D.A. Bookman - Sax
Bobby Felix (RIP)- Bass
